What’s Retina display? Put it simple, if a site is Retina ready , its texts and pictures would look way crisp & clear on Retina displays that non-Retina displays.
Retina ready is mainly for pictures. Texts would look clear without doing any settings.
For example, you have a product picture, its dimension is 1000px X 2000px. PrestaShop copes it down to 100px X 200px as a thumbnail, by default the thumbnail would look even more blur on a Retina display than its on a desktop display. The solution is to use another copy of the picture which dimension is 200px X 400px to remove the small one on retina display, then you would be surprised how crisp & clear the thumbnail would look on retina display. The theme comes with a lot image types with _2x suffix, they are image types for Retina display.

What are differences between Transformer theme and Panda theme.
Briefly
Transformer v4 and Panda v2, they are for Prestashop1.7, they are very similar functionally about 90%, currently the main differences of them are on the design level. They will be more and more different in future, they will have their own unique features.
Transformer v3 and Panda v1, they are for 1.6, I recommend panda v1 for you, simply because it has at least 30% more features that Transformer v3. Here is a list of all major differences.How can I get support?

The issue in principle seems attractive but does not compensate for the instability and poor support it offers. Registering a domain of work and one for development is an almost impossible task, pluging errors continuously, with multi-shop the issue becomes more chaotic, my advice is that you look for a topic that lets you work with freedom, which is Transformer does not give it, the plugins that includes, both the revolutions slider and the visual composer better or install them. The support service is almost non-existent, I have not yet been answered by a question from weeks ago. So for a serious job and do not have problems with the updates and to be able to work on the design, this theme will not fulfill the expectations. In my case that I have been working with prestashop for years and always with payment templates, Transformer enters into those of disappointment, they will waste you a lot of time.
