I'm looking into taking the time effort and spare $ and assembling an APRS setup, initially I'm planning on just starting with the GPS beacon in the car; and depend upon how smoothly that goes, getting more complex from there. Are there certain TNCs that are easier to work with than others?
What are you using (Transceiver, TNC, etc.)?

Ui View32 Registration
UI-View Overview. Find my ipod icloud. The most commonly used APRS software in the UK is UI-View - written by the author of Winpack, Roger Barker - G4IDE. In addition to supporting the vast majority of APRS features, UI-View also has its own protocol, tailored for communication between fixed stations in a more efficient manner than APRS, by use of specific digipeater paths; UI-View also supports multi-line. UI-View32 Map Software. There are three types of map software available for UI-View32. Including manual selection of maps, locking a map to prevent it being changed automatically, and changing the colours used for DOS APRS maps. External display applications interface to UI-View32, and display the APRS station icons on their own map.
