Mac OS X Chess Program VS Windows Vista Chess Program - posted in Mac Gaming: I tried this, with both of them set at the highest possible level. It is really slow, since each of them needs to calculate several tens of moves forward. However, being curious, I went to find out. Which is better at chess?

Running the project

All that should be needed to build this is an up-to-date version of Xcode, on any suitable OSX environment. As soon as a suitable release build is pushed, this will contain a link to an associated GitHub release.

The rules of chess started to consolidate around 1200 in southern Europe, and were adopted by Italy and Spain. Now in the Apple era, it is time to make this old game truly eye candy - so beautiful that is hard to tear your eyes away from it.
Why do we decide to go this route? Because it is impossible to create something different without changing the whole idea of the game. That is why we chose to spend a lot of time fine tuning the look of the game.
This version of iChess 3D is meant for the enthusiast, because we can't guarantee that our algorithm will be a challenge for the passionate players.
To the casual player - have fun killing some free time with iChess 3D.

Best FREE chess, but no En Passant?

Without En Passant, I am not sure if you can really call it Chess, but I've downloaded some programs that had more features in the paid version, but the demo was so weak, I didn't understand what they were giving me a demo of… the colors?
This plays a pretty strong game of chess, except I found in addition to not offer En Passant, there are times when I have to switch to the 2D view to make a move, especially when the game is offering me a piece, as in the early pawn gambits. After making the move, I can switch right back to 3D and it works fine.
The music can become annoying after a while, but you can turn it off or down, so, right now, this is not a bad free program. After the author works out a few kinks, I think this is a better commercial program than most I've seen in the App store. I was about to purchase one outside the app store, until I found this!

great game!

I LOVE THIS GAME! the pieces look really nice! it is awesome. it has 7 levels of difficulty! you can choose between 2D and 3D! it has an undo button!. these are only SOME of the key features! I just love this game. If you like chess this is a MUST BUY! I don't know why or how all these complaints are coming up but this game deserves to be praised! for $1 it is a FAIR price! I just love it! amazing game!

Wortheless

This is the only App i have ever downloaded that doesn't have an option to exit the app. How come? Either the devs are completely clueless or they are purposely trying to prevent people from exiting the App. It is completly impossible to exit this App on Full Screen. All keys that would normally take you to the desktop do not work if you are playing this game 'Full Screen'. The only way to exit the game is to play it 'windowed'. So why offer the 'Full Screen' option then if it's impossible to exit? I have to restart my Mac every single time i enter this App. Garbage App.
