1. 2006 Honda Metropolitan Scooter Specs

I have a Honda 2006 Metropolitan CH50 scooter that is hard to start when cold. When I finally get it started and it runs for a little while it seems to do okay. Wonder what the problem is when it is cold. I'm thinking maybe the choke system has gone bad. Can you fill me in on what it might be. 2006 Honda Metropolitan Scooter Specs

I recently took ownership of a 2006 Honda Metropolitan. I don't know anything about scooters. I have never ridden a scooter or a motorcycle. Apparently, this thing has a carburetor, which is another thing that I have never dealt with. It currently has an Alaska plate on it which is valid through October of 2010, which should give you an idea of when it was last ridden. It has about 760 miles on it, so it should be in pretty good shape.

I read through the owners manual, and discovered that there's a pretty specific storage procedure, which was definitely not followed.

I took out the battery and tried to charge it. It needs to be replaced. This is apparently common with these types of batteries. I will most likely need to order one online. Does anyone have experience with Mighty Max?

There is fuel in the tank. There is either some type of corrosion or buildup on the inside of the gas cap. It smells horrible.

I happen to have a can of Seafoam in my shed, which I expect will be useful for getting this thing running.

Additionally, I was wondering if there was anyone that was familiar with the laws regarding this vehicle in Arizona. From what I can tell, it needs to be registered here, but they will not title it. I do not need a motorcycle endorsement for anything smaller than 50ccs that doesn't go over 25 MPH, but it seems that the top speed of this vehicle may be 38.

I don't really know where to start with all of this, and I was hoping that someone could offer guidance.
